Help Protect Your Home From Spring Pests
The data tells us more pests are coming this spring than last. Here’s what Aptive’s experts recommend doing right now to make your home a harder target.
01
Seal Entry Points
Check doors, windows, and foundation cracks. Rodents can squeeze through gaps the size of a dime. Wasps and ants exploit any unsealed gap around pipes and utility lines.
02
Eliminate Moisture Sources
03
Declutter Storage Areas
04
Clear Your Perimeter
05
Secure Food & Trash

Spring Pest Intelligence
Most of the US is likely to experience an increase in pests like ants, rodents, and wasps this spring largely due to a warmer than average winter. A warm winter allows pest populations to remain larger than average — they hibernate, they don’t die. By the time you see one ant on your kitchen counter, there’s almost certainly a much bigger population you’re not seeing. Spring is the window. The earlier you treat, the easier it is to keep populations from establishing in the first place.
